- K.J. Parker - specifically the Engineer Trilogy, I am currently devouring (yes, devouring) book 2.
- Ian Tregillis - more please! He is already one of my favorite authors. Just go read Bitter Seeds. Now. (or soon, I mean, I don't want to sound too pushy)
- Tom Gauld - and not just because I can't type his last name correctly the first time around. In my mind he falls somewhere between Edward Gorey and Gary Larson...ish...sort of...
- russet and dark teal - Yes. I am making beautiful cotton scarves, printed all over in these colors. mmmmmmmm
- paper stars - I still can't stop making them. I blame Patricia for showing me how to fill my house with cut paper things. I am using a (very) modified version of her Poinsettia pattern :o)
- The Wire - not a new love, but we are re-watching it from the beginning, so I might actually get to season 5. The quality of the acting and production never cease to amaze me.
- cherry tomatoes - fresh from the second street market, lightly sauteed in olive oil and garlic, and eaten over pretty much anything. yep.
- goat's milk cheddar - also from the market. It is really sharp and dry, amazing on salads.
Also, before the *cough* end of the month *cough* I will be posting on the first few sections of The Great Tradition published by ISI and edited by our dear Dr. Gamble. I've been enjoying the readings, but I have gotten out of the habit of taking reading notes, so I have to take more time to compose a post. *sigh* All my college skills, just slipping away.
