I've always just sort of assumed that the lines of my education would resolve into a single point, or, barring that, would be a reasonably interesting connect-the-dot puzzle (or a portolan map? yes, I am becoming a cartography nerd...). So far things do seem to tend in that direction, but only if I step back enough to get reasonable perspective. Up close my interests seem rather absurdly varied. Oh, well.
