I'm writing a history thesis this semester, and so far it is going well. However, it is due to my committee precisely one month from today. I have roughly 45 more pages to write. As I said, it is going well - the evidence is stringing together nicely, and the writing itself has not been particularly painful. Yet, for some reason, I still put off working on it. I am fairly sure this is because I don't like having to focus for long periods of time. I am having similar trouble making myself do flash card drills for art history. I know it is good for me, I enjoy the results, and I still avoid it. Is it just because I enjoy complaining about my work? More than actually doing it? That is really too terrible for words, and I don't want to think it is true.
so, I'm going to get back to work now...
and if I clam to be anything but happy, it is just laziness talking, don't believe me.
