*cough*

er... hi
yes, I'm still alive
(I think everyone who reads this sees me in person fairly regularly, so I refuse to feel *too* guilty about this)

I am home for my last spring break ever (or "evarrrr" if I say it in my fulfillment-of-the-prophesy voice) which is weird. I am "writing a paper" and spending a lot of time distracted by framing and hardware stores and cooking and eating (mmmmm grapes) and the cat and sleeping. These are all good things tho, and I keep reminding myself that I am *technically* on vacation. Though, I slacked off the last few days of school "because I'll work really hard at home" ... riiight.

Today I've had the first lines of the Aenead floating around in my head, which seems appropriate as I have been thinking about poetry and warfare and American culture (for my paper as well as for life-reasons)

Also, for my rant-of-the-day: if you call your business anything like "fast prints" or "one day prints" the cheapest shipping option should deliver sooner than three weeks. So, on a related note - if you don't get a postcard for my senior gallery opening, you should still come anyway (April 17, 3-5, in the usual place).

I feel as though a lengthy treatise is in order, proportionate to the length of my absence - but unless you want me to talk about framing, or exhibit design, or Robert Frank, or American regional identity during the Civil War, or how I really need a job, or how I can't believe that my birthday is next week, or late 19th Century European politics (except for Spain), or how much I dislike television (except for the handful of shows I watch, of course), or all the graphics work I need to get done by next week, then I think I had best be quiet for now.
